Springtime is a busy time in the bonsai world. Most of the local clubs have their annual show in spring. Below is a list of some bonsai events scheduled for April and May. If needed, please email us for further information on these events.
- April 13th Santa Anita Bonsai club meeting LA Arboretum 7 pm Palm Room. Meeting is about how you display bonsai in a show.
- April 19th Dai Ichi Bonsai Kai club meeting Gardena 7 pm | Gardena Valley Japanese Cultural Institute 1964 W 162nd Street
- April 20th Friendship through Bonsai at Bonsai Jidai | 9 am to 5 pm | Lunch 11:00am – 2:30 pm | David Nguy Demo 12:30 to 3:00 pm demo tree to be raffled
- April 22nd Yannick Keegen GSBF Zoom
- April 25th through April 28th South Coast Plaza Spring Garden Show. Coastal Bonsai Club Display
- April 27th and 28th San Diego Bonsai Club Spring Show Balboa Park
- May 3rd and 4th Bonsai Central Show in St. Louis
- May 4th and 5th Chino Bonsai Club show 9am – 5 pm
- May 11th and 12th Dia Ichi Bonsai Kai Show and Sale
- May 18th David DeGroot at Southern Breeze club. Huntington Library beginning at 9:30am followed by workshop
($50 orfull $10 to observe)
- May 19th Eastern Leaf | Observe Kaya Mooney (CBS Visiting artist) workshop 10 am until 3 pm
- May 25th Coastal Bonsai Club meeting | Sherman Gardens meeting and general public demo (10-2)
- May 25th through May 27th Santa Anita Bonsai Society Show | LA Arboretum
- June 1st and 2nd Coastal Bonsai Club show | 10:30 to 4 pm at the Sherman Library and Gardens | Demo on both days
